1. Overview
CapJour is a personal planning application provided by Softfm. Its core planning information is stored locally on your device. Optional Apple services and location access add calendar protection, activity progress, Personal Energy observations, prayer times and notifications.
CapJour does not sell personal information and does not use Health data for advertising, marketing or data brokerage.
2. Information CapJour uses
- Planning information: projects, tasks, habits, daily plans, completion history, feelings you choose to record, preferences and correction history.
- Calendar information: titles and times of today’s timed events, when you grant full Calendar access. CapJour does not edit calendar events.
- Location: an approximate current location when you connect or refresh Prayer Protection.
- Apple Health: data you authorize CapJour to read, which may include steps, workouts, walking duration, heart rate and sleep. CapJour does not write Health data.
- Notifications: permission and locally scheduled reminders for upcoming blocks and the end of the workday.
- Support communications: information you voluntarily send to Softfm when requesting assistance.
3. How information is used
CapJour uses this information to build and display your plan, protect fixed commitments, calculate habit progress, show observations around completed work sessions, calculate local prayer times, deliver reminders, preserve backups and respond to support requests.
Personal Energy provides informational observations only. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition.
4. Sharing and external services
CapJour uses Apple frameworks on your device for Calendar, HealthKit, location and notifications. When Prayer Protection refreshes, latitude and longitude are sent over HTTPS to the AlAdhan prayer-times API at aladhan.com to return local prayer times. Softfm does not send your task names, calendar titles or Health data to AlAdhan.
Apple and AlAdhan process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Softfm may disclose information where required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
5. Storage and retention
CapJour planning records and cached prayer times are stored locally on your device. Exported backup files are saved or shared only where you choose. Calendar and Health information remains managed by Apple; CapJour reads authorized information when features refresh.
Data remains until you delete records, reset CapJour data, remove the app or otherwise clear the relevant system data. Support correspondence may be retained as reasonably necessary to answer requests and maintain business records.
6. Your choices and controls
- You can decline or revoke Calendar, Health, Location and Notification permissions in iPhone Settings.
- You can use core planning features without connecting optional data sources.
- You can export, restore or reset CapJour information from Data & History in the app.
- You may contact Softfm to ask about support information you previously submitted.
7. Children
CapJour is not directed to children under 13, and Softfm does not knowingly collect personal information from children through CapJour.
8. Security
Softfm uses reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the information. No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to this policy
Softfm may update this policy as CapJour changes. The effective date above will be revised when a new policy is published. Material changes may also be communicated through the app or App Store listing.
